Torah Tots

Educate a Child…  Educate a Generation

 Educational Philosophy

At Torah Tots, we draw our inspiration from a developmentally-appropriate educational approach to Jewish Life and Learning.  Our curriculum is based largely on students’ interests and curiosities and integrates Hebrew literacy, Jewish holidays, basic Mitzvot and moral values.  Our students are able to explore and discover the beauty of their heritage in a child-centered atmosphere of joy and warmth.

Above all, we prize the culture of compassion, respect, tolerance, friendship and communal responsibility.  We trust the students will absorb these values into their developing characters and utilize them naturally as they steer their way through life.

 Judaic Arts Curriculum

Our students learn the customs, traditions and moral values of Judaism through hands-on learning and a wide array of art media including finger and water paints, pastels, crayons and markers.  Children are naturally creative and acquire a host of skills and self-esteem when given varied opportunities to create.  The teacher will encourage the art process but not impose or intrude on it so that all works are unique and reflect the students’ own efforts and creative talents.

Hands-on workshops; like Shofar Factory, Chanukah Olive Press, Model Matzah Bakery as well as games, drama and song are blended together to allow the students to meaningfully and joyfully bring Judaism to life.

 Staff

Our loving, dedicated and professional staff creates a supportive environment conducive to each child’s individual growth and learning.

Morah Tzippy Greenman has been an early childhood teacher for more than ten years.  Proficient in both Judaic and secular preschool teaching, Morah Tzippy brings a warm and youthful vibrancy to her progressive teaching methodology.  Her liberal dose of warmth and loving care endears her to students and parents alike.
